The PCE-430 class I sound level meter meets all the requirements of the standards and guidelines (IEC 60651:1979, IEC 60804:2000, IEC 61672-1:2013, ANSI S1.4-1983 and ANSI S1.43-1997). Its large illuminated display shows the sound pressure level (SPL) numerically and graphically in real time. At the same time, as a spectrum analyzer, the screen also displays the sound frequency, which is possible thanks to the 1/1 octave band function that detects even the slightest frequency difference.
It can also operate as a recorder for up to 24h, storing data on a micro SD card. The meter can also be connected to a computer via the USB port and comes with software for further data processing. The Impulse function of the PCE-430 allows measurement of a very short duration sound event. Finally, the built-in octave band filter function also makes it a sound level meter, providing the sound intensity as a function of frequency. A typical application of the PCE-430 sound level meter is measuring noise in workplaces during an 8-hour shift for compliance with regulations.
