The class 1 sound level meter PCE-432-EKIT meets all the requirements for noise measurement and frequency analysis. Additionally, it is equipped with GPS, which allows the user to associate the measured values with the exact measurement location.
This built-in precision pulse level meter follows all valid standards and guidelines (Class 1 EN/IEC 61672, ANSI S1.4-1983, ANSI S1.43-1997 EN/IEC61260, etc.). The PCE-432 sound level meter features a large illuminated display, where the sound pressure level is shown numerically and graphically in real time. The meter has a built-in data logger as well as a micro SD card, which can be read directly on the computer. Alternatively, the user can connect the sound level meter to the computer via USB for further data processing.
Typical applications of the sound level meter are noise measurement in the workplace, detection of environmental noise, selection of appropriate noise reduction measures, and assessment of noise exposure.
The PULSE function of the PCE-432 allows the user to record short-term sound events. Thanks to the built-in octave band function, even the smallest differences in the frequency band can be detected. The measurement range of this professional sound level meter ranges from 22 ... 136 dB (A) at a frequency of 3 Hz ... 20 kHz.
PCE-4xx-EKIT
An additional kit for measuring external sound PCE-4xx-EKIT can be combined with the sound level meters PCE-428, 430, or PCE-432. This kit makes it possible to measure external noise with a sound level meter for a long period. The environmental noise monitoring system consists of a waterproof Peli transport case with rollers. A charger and two additional lead gel batteries have been placed in this case, which allow the sound level meter to operate for up to 10 days. During the measurement of external sound, the case can remain closed. Due to the external connections for the microphone and the power supply, all electronic components are protected from water.
The screen insulation provides protection from wind and rain, and the microphone windscreen isolates the measurement from the effect of the wind. The charger of the PCE-4xx-EKIT kit is waterproof and can remain outdoors. Also, a tripod is available with which the microphone can be placed outdoors.
The PCE -4xx–EKIT can be used to measure noise in critical areas such as road surfaces in residential areas, airports, depots, as well as for measuring acoustic events.
